Questo ricevitore presenta una configurazione true diversity insieme a una gamma di sintonizzazione unica estesa fino a 232 MHz. L'elaborazione audio può essere stereo MPX o basata su mono.
Lo stadio audio di uscita è appositamente progettato per avere una dinamica di picco audio massima di 200 mWatt.
Utilizzo molto facile e versatile grazie al display OLED, ai controlli a pulsante di navigazione, all'infrarosso e alla scansione automatica.
La gestione della batteria è molto flessibile poiché MPR50 consente l'uso di pacchi batteria standard:
-2 AA NiMH o Alcaline
-Pacco batteria C3-V3
-Batteria al litio KLIC 8000 o CR-V3R (ad es. DR9708 Duracell)
La ricarica può essere effettuata con un caricabatterie dedicato o tramite il connettore micro-USB-B integrato.
